After 30 years in the role, Valerie Lever will be stepping down as Nuffield Lodge’s manager in February 2011. Her husband, George, who has been Nuffield Lodge’s caretaker since 2004, will be retiring at the same time.

Installation of the new lift at Nuffield Lodge is due to commence on 13th September 2010. Following an exhaustive tender process, Hill Homes has appointed the specialist lift installation company Schindler to carry out the work. The works will take up to 9 weeks.

While the refurbishment of Nuffield Lodge is not yet complete, the scheme’s tenants have already begun to reap the benefits of the programme.

New energy-efficient boilers have been installed at Nuffield Lodge and are now up and running. These replace the original boilers, which were 28 years old and were very inefficient.
