After 30 years in the role, Valerie Lever will be stepping down as Nuffield Lodge’s manager in February 2011. Her husband, George, who has been Nuffield Lodge’s caretaker since 2004, will be retiring at the same time.

Hill Homes chief executive Joe Scullion says: ‘It’s impossible to exaggerate Valerie and George’s contribution. They have been at the heart of everything at Nuffield Lodge since its opening in 1981.  During that time, their commitment to Nuffield Lodge and its tenants has never been anything less than absolute.  Everyone at Hill Homes wishes them all the best in their well deserved retirement.’

Joe adds: ‘It will of course be difficult to replace Valerie and George. However, we are currently consulting with all our residents and stakeholders to ensure that our services continue to meet our residents’ needs.’
