While the refurbishment of Nuffield Lodge is not yet complete, the scheme’s tenants have already begun to reap the benefits of the programme.

Most of the bathrooms and some of the kitchens have now been refurbished. New boilers have also been installed, the fire safety system has been upgraded and new safety lights have been fitted.

Hill Homes chief executive Joe Scullion says: ‘We regret that there has, inevitably, been some disruption to our tenants’ lives and are grateful to them for their patience. That said, we are delighted with the results of the refurbishment programme, which was designed to ensure that Nuffield Lodge is able to fulfil its goal of providing quality, affordable, safe accommodation for active older people.’
